The best quality essential oils start with the best quality seeds and soil. We work closely with all the farmers in our network to help them increase soil biodiversity and improve the health of their soils. We hold regular workshops to help teach farmers cheap and natural ways to improve soil health as well as water management techniques according to local conditions and resources.
Some of our oils come from wild harvested crops such as Frankincense, Myrrh, Opoponax and Agarwood. We always make sure that our partner harvesters are replanting at least 10 x more trees than they take, as well as ensuring that they never overharvest, it is vitally important to us that overall we have a net positive impact on the environment.
We encourage all our farmers to practice organic and sustainable farming. We regularly hold workshops with farmers across our network to encourage them to practice low-cost and sustainable techniques such as mulching, composting, vermiculture, multi-layer farming, etc. In accordance with local conditions.
It is our philosophy that healthy soil = healthy plants + hygienic distillation at low temperature = the best quality essential oils.
